The Hyperion Players to produce “Doubt – A Parable”

John Patrick Shanley’s award-winning drama runs Jan. 25 to 28 in Fishers

The Hyperion Players, with the support of The Farmers Bank, will present John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt – A Parable, recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, Jan. 25 to 28 at The Switch Theatre in Fishers.

In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.

Doubt – A Parable challenges the audience to consider how we handle situations when we don’t have all the facts,” Director Daniel Maloy said. “John Patrick Shanley’s play dives into deep meaning through evocative content, insightful dialogue, strong characters, and challenging themes. You may all leave feeling differently about the actions of these characters … this means we have done our job well. We are excited to present this show to you.”

Doubt – A Parable is the second play of Hyperion’s second season, following September’s Waiting for Godot. Coming soon are Bess Wohl’s Grand Horizons and local playwright Brad Staggs’ I Love My Zombie. Hyperion incorporated as a nonprofit in late 2021 and publicly launched in January 2022.

  • Thursday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 26, 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 27, 7:30 p.m.
