Spotlight on Schools
Interim Superintendent Scott Jaworski kicked off his segment congratulating the Class of 2026 again and highlighting their incredible accomplishments during Senior Awards Night. He gave a shout out to Valedictorian Brogan Foerg and Salutatorian Alyssa Hoover. This year’s graduating seniors earned more than $1 million in scholarships for continuing education. Jaworski said this class was special because they were in eighth grade when he started at TCSC and would be the last class he taught. He also credited the community as being instrumental – especially organizations like the Tipton County Foundation, whose generosity continues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Jaworski shared attendance figures from the 2025-2026 school year and the high goal of 80 percent attendance that was set for each building. Thanks to the hard work of administrators, staff, and families the goal was not only met, but exceeded that goal. Staff achieved high attendance marks as well.
He reported Summer School is underway through June 18. Summer school is dedicated to providing remediation through intervention, support, and strengthening foundational skills to prepare students to pass the I-READ3 for success in the next grade level.
The TES playground is closed in preparation for the new playground. A groundbreaking ceremony took place Friday, June 12 and official ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 during the Blue Devil Bash.
Director of Food Service Report
Adam Proulx reported that the Food Service Department Summer School meal service is underway, serving academic students and anyone under 18 on-site. Staffing remains stable, with substitute recruitment ongoing. All outstanding equipment repairs from the previous report are complete. The DOE Paid Lunch Equity (PLE) pricing guidance is finalized, and the recommended price adjustment is included in the board packet for review and approval. Proulx extended his appreciation to all staff, with a special thanks to John Ayars for stepping in when needed for a successful year.
Athletic Director Report
Colin Quin shared that Tipton Athletics Spring sports have concluded. Boys track capped an outstanding season by breaking a 36-year-old school record, a testament to the dedication of athletes and coaches. Girls tennis celebrated a strong season, highlighted by Kendall Coe advancing to the sectional championship match at No. 1 singles. Summer workouts and activities are already underway across all programs. Families can follow team schedules and updates on Eventlink, and the department continues to seek workers for athletic events.
Quin expressed gratitude for the support from the Board, staff, parents, and community to help make his first year as AD a successful one.

Approval of the 2026-2027 school meal costs
The Board approved student lunch prices for the 2026-27 school year following the annual review using the DOE Paid Lunch Equity (PLE) Tool, which set a required weighted average price of $3.25. To meet this requirement while minimizing impact on families, prices will increase by $0.10 at the high school (from $3.40 to $3.50) and $0.15 at both the middle and elementary schools (MS: from $3.10 to $3.25; ES: from $3.00 to $3.15). Breakfast will increase from $2.10 to $2.20. These adjustments take effect August 6, 2026.
