Noblesville Schools announced on Friday, June 12 that Dr. Daniel G. Hile, Superintendent of Noblesville Schools, has been elected as the 2026-2027 President of the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS).

The IAPSS position is a volunteer assignment that Hile will hold in addition to his role as superintendent of Noblesville Schools.

As president, Hile brings extensive leadership in public education, including his role as a board member of the American Association of School Administrators, a member of the Purdue University Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Advisory Board, and a graduate of Harvard University’s Civic Leader program.

Before joining Noblesville Schools as superintendent in 2022, Hile served as a superintendent in the Ft. Wayne area, where he was named the Northeastern Indiana Superintendent of the Year. He has also served previously as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher.

“I am honored to serve as the next president of IAPSS and to work with other superintendents throughout the state to lead and champion our public schools,” Hile said. “This role offers the opportunity to advance positive change for the approximately one million public school students in Indiana. I look forward to working with and supporting my colleagues as we maximize our impact by leading together.”

Christi Crosser, president of the Noblesville Schools Board of Trustees, said, “On behalf of Noblesville Schools, I want to congratulate Dr. Hile on this prestigious honor. His extensive leadership experience, advocacy for public education, and focus on mentoring others have earned him widespread recognition throughout the state. I’m confident he will lead IAPSS with the same excellence he shows for our Noblesville students, staff and community.”

IAPSS Executive Director Dr. Jeff Butts said, “The strength of IAPSS lies in the dedication of leaders who are willing to invest their time, expertise, and passion in serving their colleagues across Indiana. As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, I am confident this leadership team will help advance our mission, support our members, and champion the success of Indiana’s students.”

Hile holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Purdue University, a master’s degree in education administration from Indiana University Fort Wayne, and a bachelor’s degree in music education from Indiana University.
