Dear Editor:

We want to thank everyone who showed up to support the efforts in the continued work to stop the gravel pit on Cherry Tree Road. We hit our goal for the initial fee and the attorney is on the job! As I have shared with many of our neighbors – I don’t ever recall people coming to my door and enthusiastically giving money. This was indeed a leap of faith and we promise to do all we can to continue to earn your trust.

We appreciate the way our residents are standing firm in this. We’re in this for the long haul! The first step in this procedure is for our attorney to review all available documents in detail, and then prepare and file our petition with the court.

Our firm has a good success record and we trust we have the best.

We are so very proud of the response we had to get this far – but the race isn’t done. To succeed will take more hard work by us and our attorney, but you know this will come with a cost.

We will soon have an option for people to donate by using a credit card and we are working on setting up a GoFundMe account. For now, please mail your checks directly to the law firm:

Please note BZNA0070-2023 in the memo portion of your check. You are advised to use certified mail.

We know you understand the importance of this fight. You understand what this would mean not only for our community, but for all residential areas in our county and state if this is allowed to stand. We know the health, safety, and the other residual effects by a gravel pit in our backyard. But it really doesn’t stop just here – if this goes through then the doors will be open across the county and the state.

This is a totally unacceptable proposal for any residential area. Help us continue this fight, please!
