Brooks School Road Bridge now open over Interstate 69

Sidewalk for pedestrian access will be added next summer . . .

Brooks School Road is now open to traffic over Interstate 69 after Milestone Contractors rebuilt the bridge deck as part of the I-69 Major Moves 2020 construction project. A sidewalk for pedestrian access will be added to the project next summer.

After receiving feedback and suggestions, construction was paused earlier this summer to allow the City of Fishers and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to review plans.

The City of Fishers and INDOT decided to proceed with bridge deck construction, make temporary modifications, and open the bridge to traffic as soon as possible.

Pedestrian access is currently being designed, and construction of pedestrian access is planned to resume in the spring of 2018.
