The Fishers baseball played an ultramarathon game against Brownsburg on Wednesday and came away with a Hoosier Crossroads Conference win.
The Tigers beat the Bulldogs 1-0 in 17 innings. Henry Cherry was the hero, batting Vincent Pecoraro for the victory.
Owen Lukac had three hits, including one double, while Andrew Baldini had two hits. Grant Wolf got the pitching win, striking out seven in four innings. Wolf came in for the Tigers in the 14th inning. Lukac struck out five in six innings and Hayden Werner tossed nine strikeouts in seven innings.
Fishers is 9-4 in the conference and 15-12 overall. The Tigers finish the series this evening at Brownsburg.

Sheridan split a pair of games at the Hoosier Heartland Conference earlier in the week.
The Blackhawks fell to Delphi 11-9 on Monday. The Oracles led 11-1 midway through the sixth inning before Sheridan launched a comeback. The Hawks put up seven runs in the bottom of the sixth and one more in the seventh.
Chance Spencer was 4-for-5 at the plate, batted in two runs and scored another two. Hall hit a double.
Sheridan rebounded to beat Clinton Central 12-1 on Tuesday. Jake Hall, Cesar Cuautle and Chance Spencer all batted in two runs, with Spencer and Levi Gellert both getting two hits. Crew Spencer, Braelan Bochner and Austin Hinshaw all scored two runs.
Hall pitched a no-hitter across all five innings, striking out seven.
Sheridan is 10-11 and hosts Indy Genesis HomeSchool on Tuesday.

Carmel fell to Cathedral 4-2 Wednesday at Hartman Field.
The Greyhounds scored a run in the fourth inning; Nate Steele led off with a double then scored on Jacob Behm’s RBI groundout. Steele scored again in the sixth inning on a wild pitch.
Max Walkey and Mark Neels both hit one double. Callaway Carmichael (4.1 innings) and Nolan Sunsdahl (2.2 innings) both threw four strikeouts.
Carmel is 9-14 and hosts its Greyhound Invitational this weekend.
