Hamilton County Councilor Tim Griffin has announced his intent to seek re-election in 2026.

“To me, there is nothing more important than making a positive impact on the community in which I live, work, and raise my family,” Griffin said. “As I seek a second term, I will continue to listen to and advocate for the best interests of our residents.”

As a 22-year member of the Carmel Fire Department, in which he also serves as the department’s Public Information Officer, Griffin will continue to keep public safety as his number-one priority for Hamilton County. Just last month, county officials broke ground on the new Public Safety Training Center, which Griffin championed and worked on diligently behind the scenes.

Other quality-of-life priorities Griffin will continue to focus his efforts on in his second term are: increasing mental health resources, improving infrastructure, and keeping taxes low while maintaining the county’s AAA bond rating and rainy day fund.

Mario Massillamany, chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party, offered his support for Griffin.

“Tim Griffin has a record of service and commitment to our community,” Massillamany said. “He ensures our families, our tax dollars, and our quality of life are protected. I am confident Tim will continue to be the effective leader our residents demand and deserve, and I fully support his re-election to the Hamilton County Council.”

In addition, Griffin announces the following endorsements of his re-election bid: Hamilton County Professional Fire Fighters Local 4416, Carmel Professional Firefighters Local 4444, and Carmel FOP Lodge 185.

Griffin has called Carmel home since childhood. He and his wife, Teresa, have five daughters. As a family, they enjoy being active in their church, traveling to soccer tournaments and high school track meets, and attending events around Carmel – for which Griffin serves as the emcee.

Griffin’s county council district includes most of Carmel and a portion of Fishers.
