Since 2015, Community First Bank of Indiana (CFB) has marked Veterans Day not just with words, but with action. What began as a grassroots effort of raking leaves, cleaning gutters, and performing minor yard work for local Veterans has grown into a cherished tradition that brings employees together in service to those who served.
In 2020, when COVID-19 restrictions made free Veterans Day lunches scarce, the CFB team launched a free meal program to ensure local Veterans still felt remembered and appreciated. Since then, the tradition has continued to grow.
This Veterans Day, CFB proudly continues the tradition by offering Veterans a complimentary meal from Big Hoffa’s BBQ. The lunch is funded by CFB employees through the Bank’s Casual for a Cause program, with Big Hoffa’s BBQ generously providing a discount.
On Nov. 11, Veterans are invited to stop by Big Hoffa’s BBQ, 800 E. Main St., Westfield, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CFB employees will be onsite handing out vouchers for a free quarter-pound pork, chicken, or brisket sandwich meal. Meals are available to the first 200 Veterans.
CFB’s Veterans Day tradition reflects its deep commitment to community and gratitude for those who served. CFB looks forward to honoring local Veterans again this year. Please call (765) 236-0600 with any questions or visit CFBindiana.com/veterans.
