Sheridan High School senior Ethan Kissling has been running the Chef Karyn Tacho Trailer all summer. He has been responsible for every aspect of the food truck, including hiring, firing, ordering food, and prepping the food. He is also ServSafe-certified. Under his watch, the Tacho Trailer sold nearly $50,000 in food this summer. (He has also paid thousands in sales tax, too!)

On Wednesday, the Tacho Trailer served lunch to Sheridan school teachers. This was an event negotiated between Kissling and the senior leadership of the school.

“I could not be more impressed with Superintendent Mundy and Principal Davis for not only believing in a student that much, but to also give him the real-world experience at a place he loves so dearly,” said Jim Kissling, Ethan’s father. “I sincerely feel like the Sheridan Schools deserve some strong recognition for building leaders!”

Assisting Ethan Kissling in the food truck was close friend Jackson TerHorst. The Tacho team this summer also included Sheridan’s Ruby Mason and Scarlett Whitbrod.
