Graham Alexander Bond

December 21, 1941 – August 9, 2026

Graham Alexander Bond, a resident of Cicero, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in England during the turmoil of World War II on December 21, 1941, Graham’s life was characterized by his creative spirit, funny disposition, generous heart, and courageous strength.

Graham dedicated 30 years of his professional life to Chrysler in the field of automotive manufacturing until his retirement in 1994. He was a hardworking individual, and his dedication to his work was reflective of his overall character – driven, reliable, and meticulous. Despite his commitment to his work, Graham knew the importance of a balanced life. He was an avid reader with a particular affection for old sailing ship novels, a nod to his early years traveling back and forth from England on various ships. His love for woodworking and gardening was a testament to his creative side, making beautiful things for his home and family. His courageous spirit was evident in his love for his country, becoming a citizen on November 3, 2005, after moving to the United States from England when he was six years old.

Graham was united in marriage with his beloved wife, Gloria Bond, on February 24, 1989. Their love story was one of mutual respect, deep affection, and shared adventures. They loved to travel together, creating endless memories. But what mattered most to Graham was his family and his dogs. He is survived by and was the proud and loving father to Bret (Samantha) Bond, Heather Siegel, and Chad (Mary Kay) Whitaker. He also leaves behind his brother, Steve (Sue) Morris. Graham’s generous spirit and funny nature will be carried on by his seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Graham will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2026, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 Pearl St., Cicero. The funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location with Father Sean Pogue officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Homes – Cicero.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or please plant a tree in Graham’s honor.
