Republican Scott Willis, current Westfield City Councilor, has officially launched his Exploratory Committee for Westfield Mayor.

Since launching the committee in early September, Willis has focused on meeting with various community groups, residents, business owners, and elected officials to truly listen and understand the needs and concerns of the Westfield community. He plans to continue these conversations throughout the city over the coming months.

“I’m deeply passionate about Westfield and its future,” Willis said. “I’m committed to diversifying Westfield’s tax base, identifying new businesses and jobs, being fiscally responsible, and strategically growing the city.”

During Willis’ first term as Westfield City Councilor, he has brought a unique voice and perspective to the council as a 17-year Westfield resident, decorated U.S. Marine, and successful businessman.

Being ingrained in the local and veteran community has always been a priority for Willis. He currently serves on the Westfield Public Library board, the Westfield YMCA steering committee, the President’s Council for Purdue University, is Chairman of the Westfield GOP Club, and is involved in several Veteran organizations including the VFW, American Legion, and Marine Corps League.

Willis, and his wife Stacey, have three children – Sophia, a freshman at Xavier University, and Brenna and Graden, both Westfield Schools students.
