The Hamilton County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner and VIP Reception was held on Tuesday at the Embassy Suites Conference Center, 13700 Conference Center Drive South, Noblesville.

With over 720 attendees, it was the largest crowd in Hamilton County GOP history. Well done, Chairman Mario Massillamany, Vice Chair Lisa Everling, Secretary Beth Sheller, staff, and volunteers.

“Lincoln Day” is an annual event celebrated by many Republican organizations, designed to honor President Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President.

“The incredible turnout Tuesday night is a testament to the growth and success we’re experiencing in Hamilton County under Republican leadership that’s growing our economy, attracting high-wage jobs and improving quality of life in the region,” State Senator Kyle Walker said.

“The Lincoln Day Dinner is a chance for the Hamilton County GOP to celebrate the tremendous successes that the county has had under our Republican leadership,” County Commissioner Steve Dillinger said. “We are the only county in the state with a AAA bond rating, illustrating our financial stability and being rated the number one county in the state, in most areas a county can be ranked, speaks for itself.”

Hamilton County, having been under 100-percent Republican countywide leadership for over 50 years, is a shining star of progress and prosperity in the state of Indiana.

“I feel Hamilton County’s success is the result of the continuity and cooperation among our conservative, forward-thinking Republican leadership,” County Commissioner Christine Altman said. “No other county in the state even comes close to the growth that we have experienced in the last 20 years and in the economic investments that we have been able to acquire.”

Hamilton County has long been an engine to the state’s economy. This county is truly its own economic entity, attracting investments and businesses ranging from manufacturing, medical, technology, sports, and entertainment, to many national and regional corporate headquarters. All these businesses provide high-paying jobs in the county and keep tax rates the fourth-lowest in the state.

What attracted these corporations is Hamilton County’s high quality of life. The county’s schools are consistently ranked at the top in the state, and residents enjoy quality innovative infrastructure and well-maintained roads, low taxes and high property values, low crime, and wonderful public safety professionals.

“We are blessed to be No. 1 in many categories, with the safest communities, best schools, best roads, low taxes, and high quality of life – all the while maintaining fiscal responsibility and stability,” County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt said. “We are well positioned for the future while being one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.”

Not only is Hamilton County the fastest growing county in the state, the cities of Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville and Westfield are among the fastest growing cities in Indiana. The leadership of Republican County Commissioners, Council and Mayors has strategically earned Hamilton County’s place in the state and in the nation as a thriving economic driver with a unique mix of urban, suburban and rural and a high quality of life.

“As mayor, our administration has been focused on good government, great schools, parks and trails, safety, cutting-edge city planning, building the environment for good, high-paying jobs and designing beautiful clean cities,” Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard said. “Building cities where everyone, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive, prosper and flourish are traditional Republican values.”

With the May primaries just around the corner, a record turnout of Republicans attended this year’s Lincoln Day Dinner. They were able to meet and greet elected officials from all over the county and all the Republican candidates running for elected office. Everyone enjoyed an evening of food, drinks, music, and dancing. United States Senator Mike Braun was the special guest and did a question-and-answer session during the dinner program.

“What a fantastic way to celebrate the successes of Hamilton County and to look forward to our bright future under good Republican leadership,” County Councilor Steve Schwartz said. “We will continue the teamwork that has propelled Hamilton County to have been continually voted as one of the top places to live in the entire country.”
