Cub Scout Pack 103 spent this past Saturday morning working and cleaning the playgrounds, sidewalks and shelter at Lincoln Park, west of the Hamilton Heights Student Activities Center (former middle school building) in Arcadia.

Fourteen Scouts and adults worked together as part of the Crossroads of America Council’s “Adopt-A-School” program.

The service project was part of the Pack’s partnership with Hamilton Heights School Corporation and was coordinated with the help of Heights Superintendent Dr. Derek Arrowood. It was the second consecutive year the Pack has done maintenance at the park as part of the “Adopt-A-School” program.

Pack 103 will host its Join Night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22 at Hamilton Heights Elementary School, 25350 State Road 19, Arcadia. The open house will have fun, games, activities and will have adult leaders and Scouts available to talk about Scouting. Those interested in learning more about Cub Scouts and the Scouts BSA program are encouraged to attend.

Pack 103 is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade and serves the Hamilton Heights area. In addition to twice-a-month den meetings, pack meetings are held monthly at Hamilton Heights Elementary School. Those interested in learning more can email cubmaster@ciceroscouts.org or visit ciceroscouts.org.

Clearly these kids aren’t afraid of honest work. Great work, Pack 103! (Photo provided by Pack 103 Cubmaster Robert Herrington)
