At Thrive Christian Church of Westfield, we want to be a force for good in our community – not just talk about it, but actually do it! Over the years, we’ve put that into action through food drives, supply collections, and partnerships with amazing local organizations like Open Doors of Westfield, Hamilton County Assistance Program, and The O’Connor House.
On Sunday, Aug. 9, we have a chance to take that mission even further with “The Church Has Left the Building.” This special day is all about stepping outside our walls and serving our community.
There will be no regular Sunday services on Aug. 9. Instead, we’ll be the church in action.
How you can serve
Our focus this year will be serving at various schools in Westfield as they prepare to welcome students for the 2026-27 school year. We will serve at Westfield Middle School, Carey Ridge, Cook Creek, and Midland Crossing.
- Thrive Kids (at church): Serve in Thrive Kids (Preschool or Elementary) while parents are out serving. Open to volunteers 13 and up.
- General Volunteer at Thrive: Help with table and chair setup and tear-down and/or meal packing.
For those serving that day, your children, ages 2 through fifth grade, can participate in meaningful learning and service activities at Thrive. PLEASE REGISTER THEM if you plan on having them at the church while you serve.
Here is our tentative schedule for the day:
- 8 a.m.: Check-in and receive instructions, then we will leave for our service locations
- Noon to 12:30 p.m.: Return to Thrive and enjoy lunch
Aug. 9 will be a day to remember, so come experience the joy of serving others and showing God’s love through action.
Let’s show Westfield what it means when The Church Has Left the Building!
To guarantee your correct T-shirt size, please register by July 26 at this link.
