Town expands events with car show fundraiser & reimagined Fourth of July celebration
Submitted by Ashley Beasley
Sheridan Events is preparing for a full season of community celebrations. Plans have expanded for both the Rev’d Up Rides Car Show and the Town of Sheridan’s annual Fourth of July festivities.
These efforts are supported in part by a $5,500 grant from Hamilton County Tourism, which will help Sheridan continue to host community gatherings that attract visitors as well as strengthen the local economy.
The 2026 season will kick off with the second annual Rev’d Up Rides Car Show on April 25 at Sheridan High School. Registration begins at 9 a.m., but participants can also pre-register online at SheridanEvents.org. While the event is free to attend, the fee to register a car is $20. Rev’d Up Rides serves as both the organization’s opening event and a key fundraiser supporting Sheridan’s Fourth of July celebration. Attendees can expect a wide variety of vehicles, local fare from vendors like Gosia’s Rustic Kitchen, Sip Happens, and Sheridan Rotary, plus a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with music from the Molter Brothers and Henry Entertainment, LLC.
This year’s Fourth of July celebration will feature several exciting changes. Due to construction along State Road 47, festivities will be relocated to the Sheridan High School grounds. Sheridan Events is grateful to Sheridan High School for generously providing an alternative venue for these community events. The location offers expanded space and is a prime venue for the fireworks show.
For the first time, Sheridan will welcome Burgerhaus Productions as they deliver our guests a professionally choreographed fireworks show set to music. The display will be launched near the storied Blackhawks football field, with seating available in the stadium stands and other areas on the grounds, allowing guests to experience the show from multiple vantage points.
Sheridan’s 2026 Fourth of July celebration is thrilled to be part of the nationwide commemoration of 250 years of American Independence. The local theme, “Generations of Independence,” will highlight both Sheridan’s history and its future by blending elements of past and present. Inspired by the national Spirit of ‘76 theme, the event will feature a mix of throwback activities; including some Sheridan favorites like the ping pong ball drop, live music from multiple eras, and more! It will be a return to the simple, connected feel of the classic small-town summer celebrations many of us long for.
Community members and visitors alike are encouraged to support 2026 events in Sheridan by attending the Rev’d Up Rides Car Show and Fourth of July celebration; as well as through donations to the organization which is committed to providing inclusive, accessible, and affordable events.
