The Noblesville “No Kings” rally and community gathering held on Saturday, March 28 at Federal Hill Commons, 175 Logan St., was both well-attended and peaceful. One attendee estimated 2,000 or more people came out to show support for the movement. There were information and activity booths from 19 local organizations and 10 candidates. At the end of the afternoon, protestors marched downtown to the courthouse and back.
Civic organizations included: MADVoters, Human Library, ReCenter Indiana, Common Cause Indiana, Fishers Resists, Food Not Bombs, Hamilton County Community Response, Hamilton County Democratic Party (including local clubs), Hamilton County Young Democrats, Hoosier Asian American Power, Indivisible Carmel & Westfield, Noblesville Indivisible, Hamilton County Democracy Coalition, Streetside Democracy Defenders, Voices4Democracy, Indiana Organizing Project, Grassroot Projects, Women4Change Indiana, Sierra Club, Indivisible Indiana, and Noblesville.Love.
Candidate booths included: Coumba Kebe (Indiana House District 29), Devon Wellington (Indiana House District 29), Lauren Cole (Indiana House District 37), Kristina Moorhead (Indiana Senate District 29), Lasima Packett (Indiana Senate District 31), J.D. Ford (U.S. House District 5), Jackson Franklin (U.S. House District 5), Blythe Potter (Indiana Secretary of State), David Wetterer (Indiana Secretary of State), and Emily Angel Shaw (Hamilton County Superior Court 8).
