The City of Tipton has officially launched a $1 million capital campaign to support the construction and enhancement of the Tipton Baseball Project, a new multi-field complex that will bring the game back to the heart of the community.

“This isn’t just about building baseball fields – it’s about building memories, pride, and opportunity,” Mayor Kegan Schmicker said. “We believe in this project, and it’s clear that our residents do, too.”
This initiative follows the city’s $2 million commitment to the project through a recently approved bond, ensuring a strong foundation for development. The additional $1 million raised through this campaign will directly support upgraded facility amenities, enhanced construction materials, and other improvements that will elevate the complex to a first-class community asset.
Though the campaign is only just beginning, momentum is already building; more than 20 percent of the $1 million goal has been pledged by early supporters, signaling the community’s shared excitement and belief in the return of America’s pastime to Tipton.
The Tipton Baseball Complex will include:
- A 350-foot Babe Ruth Diamond
- A 200-foot Cal Ripken Diamond
- A dedicated Pee Wee Diamond
- Concession and restroom facilities
- Spectator seating and public amenities
City officials invite residents, businesses, and baseball fans alike to become part of the Home Field Advantage. Naming opportunities, sponsorship packages, and individual giving options are available, ensuring every donor has a chance to leave their mark on this once-in-a-generation project.
“This campaign represents more than bricks and mortar,” Mayor Schmicker said. “It’s a rallying point for our city – a place where our kids will play, where families will gather, and where Tipton’s love for the game will live on.”
