On Monday, Nov. 11, the City of Fishers and Fishers Armed Services Commission invite residents to the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. in the Fishers City Hall Theater, 1 Municipal Drive, honoring local heroes and their families.
The ceremony is free and open to the public, but registration is required due to limited seating. Register to attend here. A live stream will be provided on the City of Fishers Facebook page.
This year’s guest speaker is Doug Melville, an acclaimed author, Forbes contributor, TEDx speaker, and leading voice in international equity and inclusion. His book, Invisible Generals: Rediscovering Family Legacy and a Quest to Honor America’s First Black Generals, debuted as an Amazon No. 1 Best-Selling New Release and was featured in a PBS NewsHour Classroom Daily News Lesson.
The Fishers Community Chorus and the White River Brass Troupe will also perform and veterans can participate in a pinning ceremony during the event.
After the event, please join for a book signing in the theater with Melville hosted by the Hamilton County Community Foundation.
