Last month, The Goddard School of Carmel City Center, 160 Medical Drive, Carmel, held a donation drive for flood victims. After consulting with people in charge of disaster relief efforts to find a need that was not being filled through standard donation efforts, the school chose to ask parents for baby wipes.
Goddard School Director of Operations April Clay asked for one box per child. The request went out during the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 17, with the goal of getting 150 packages of wipes. Parents were told that if they reached the goal of 150 packages by Friday, all the kids would get a pajama day.
According to Clay, as of Friday morning, Aug. 21, they had exceeded that goal by more than a factor of 100.
The Carmel Goddard kiddos got their pajama day and all the wipes were donated to Northview Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway Suite 1, Carmel.
