Soccer: Sheridan boys start week with two major victories

Sheridan picked up two big wins to start the week.

On Monday, the Blackhawks beat Taylor 3-2 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game. Evan Krakora scored the first goal unassisted.

Sheridan trailed 2-1 at halftime before coming back in the second half. Jackson Aleman scored the tying goal off an assist from Carsen Aleman, then Dayton Kirlin put in the winning goal unassisted. The Hawks are 2-0 in conference play.

The Blackhawks followed that with a 9-3 win over North Montgomery on Tuesday. Jackson Aleman scored three goals in that game.

Sheridan is 5-1-2 overall and plays Thursday at Shortridge.

Noblesville, ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, played to a 2-2 tie with 3A No. 3 Zionsville Tuesday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.

Caden Rice and Quinn Johnston both scored goals for the Millers, with Caedmon Todd and Brady Frayer both getting assists. Alex Eberhart had four goalkeeper saves and Reagan Zepp made two saves.

Noblesville is 3-0-2 in HCC play and 7-0-5 overall. The Millers travel to Hamilton Southeastern on Thursday for another conference game.

Guerin Catholic fell to Pike 3-1 on Tuesday.

Robbie Burt scored the Golden Eagles’ goal.

Guerin Catholic is 3-8 and plays Saturday at Louisville Trinity.
