SMC Corporation & Noblesville Parks partner for Corporate Tree Planting Day

Continuing in its effort to support environmental sustainability, SMC Corporation of America will once again collaborate with the Noblesville Parks Department to restore the Hague Road Nature Haven through an annual corporate day of service.

The project, aimed at advancing sustainability and beautifying community spaces, will bring together employees from SMC under the guidance of the Parks Department to remove invasive species and plant 50 native trees in the designated nature preserve. Through this annual collaboration, the partners aim to contribute to reforestation efforts, enhance local green spaces, and promote environmental conservation in Noblesville and the surrounding community.

The Corporate Tree Planting Day will take place at the Hague Road Nature Haven, kicking off at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. Participants will then engage in tree planting activities under the guidance of experienced arborists and naturalists.

SMC President & CEO Kelley Stacy expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

“Sustainability isn’t just a business strategy; it’s our moral compass,” Stacy said. “At SMC, we believe that our commitment to sustainability and community engagement is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity to create a better world for everyone.

“We understand the importance of preserving our environment for future generations. Collaborating with Noblesville Parks and Recreation for this day of service not only reinforces our commitment to sustainability but also allows our employees to actively participate in making a positive impact on our local community. Together, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future, where businesses thrive, communities flourish, and the planet prospers.”

Noblesville Parks and Recreation has worked to cultivate a robust natural space at this location, striving to eradicate invasive species while advancing the goal of fostering engaging community greenspaces.

“The Noblesville Parks and Recreation Department is grateful to collaborate with SMC Corporation and its employees again this year to continue work on the Hague Road Nature Haven,” said Jonn Russell, certified arborist for Noblesville Parks. “Working with community partners is important in our efforts to restore and repair outdoor areas, including the removal of invasive plants. We want to preserve the work that has already been done to make our community more sustainable and continuously improve our ecological health for generations to come.”
