Carmel Clay Historical Society’s director Debbie Gangstad said Thursday that a planned temporary office at the former Orchard Park School will not be opening at that location. Earlier information released by the organization said the historical society had permission to use space in the former elementary school for an office and archive storage.
Temporary storage while new museum construction is underway has been granted by the school system. But, no office for walk-in visits will be located there.
The society’s museum in the former Monon Railroad Depot is currently closed due to construction. But, the staff can be reached at (317) 846-7117 or by email at dgangstad@carmelclayhistory.org.
