Baseball: Heights overwhelmed by No. 4 Panthers

In Tuesday night baseball action, Western showed Hamilton Heights why the Panthers are ranked fourth in Class 3A in this week’s coaches poll.

Unfortunately for the Huskies, they were on the short end of a 16-0 loss at home. Heights had won three of its last four.

The Panthers scored three in the first, two in the third, six in the fourth and sealed the game for good with another handful in the top of the fifth.

Jaiden McNulty made it look easy on the mound for Western. The junior held the Huskies to just two hits and struck out nine without giving up a walk.

Hamilton Heights evens its record at 3-3 overall and starts off Hoosier Conference play 0-1. The two finish up their HC series tonight at Western (6-0, 2-0) at 6 p.m.
