Catherine Torzewski, a local Realtor, small business owner, and mother of two, who resides in the Geist area, has officially filed her candidacy for Indiana Senate District 31, which includes Fishers, Geist, and parts of Lawrence.
Torzewski is focused on affordability and accessibility around healthcare, housing, and cost of living in Indiana, as well as fully funding public education and ensuring that teachers and public schools have all the resources they need.
“I believe we can do more for our families, our children and our communities,” Torzewski said. “The quality of life in Indiana has continued to diminish under 20 years of Republican supermajority rule. This district is purple and ready to flip for a candidate that can do more and deliver results. I’ve worked in this community, I’m raising my children here, I’m fully invested and ready to work hard for the voters of Senate District 31.”
Primary Election Day is May 5, 2026.
