The Bridgewater Club has completed a major renovation of its Pete Dye-designed 18-hole championship golf course, enhancing course conditions, strategic play, and the overall member experience.

To open the renovated course, The Bridgewater Club hosted a celebratory opening weekend attended by several hundred members that kicked off with a shotgun start on Saturday, May 16. The longest-tenured member of The Bridgewater Club, Pat Perry, had the honor of being the first member to tee off.

The course has been strategically enhanced with intentionality and the member experience in mind and the renovation focuses on creating exceptional playability for golfers of all skill levels. Highlights include reconstruction of the greens and green complex, revitalized bunkers, seven new forward tees, advanced turfgrass varieties customized for regional conditions, cart path paving and expanded tee boxes and practice green.

“This renovation is an incredible example of our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our members on the golf course and throughout the entire club,” said Mike Gardner, Chief Operating Officer of The Bridgewater Club. “Building on Pete Dye’s original vision, we strategically enhanced and modernized the course with our members in mind, elevating playability, comfort and enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels. We paid attention to every detail including new turf to compete with Indiana’s climate and evolving playing conditions while preserving the championship-caliber experience our club is known for. Celebrating the reopening alongside several hundred members made this milestone especially rewarding for our entire club community.”

The project was led by renowned golf course architecture firm Tim Liddy + Associates and its founder, Tim Liddy, Fellow of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and a longtime Pete Dye collaborator, who helped modernize the course while preserving its original character and championship design. The updates also reinforce balanced playability across all skill levels as strategic bunker enhancements challenge lower-handicap golfers while maintaining an enjoyable experience for recreational players.

Beyond the championship course, golfers can enjoy a 23-acre practice range, heated hitting stalls for year-round practice, indoor golf simulators, indoor putting room and a six-acre short game area.

Additionally, The Bridgewater Club continues to offer one of the region’s premier recreational experiences including a 15,000 square-foot fitness center, on-site group fitness classes, personal training, indoor and outdoor pools, six tennis courts, six pickleball courts and six multi-use pickleball courts, a 3.5-mile walking trail, on-site childcare, youth programming, and more.
