Royals trounce Franklin Central

Hamilton Southeastern dominated its first Hoosier Crossroads Conference game of the season on Friday, beating Franklin Central 78-48 in a home game.

Maya Makalusky led the Class 4A No. 1 Royals with 33 points, draining three 3-pointers. Kayla Stidham added 15 points. All nine players that took to the floor for Southeastern scored at least two points.

Makalusky collected nine rebounds, followed by six for Kennedy Holman and five each for Stidham and Zoe Lawless. It was the Royals’ Senior Night, where they honored their two seniors, Lawless and Hannah Wade.

Southeastern is 5-0 and plays another HCC game Tuesday at Brownsburg.
