Raju Chinthala files to run for Fifth Congressional District seat

During a brief ceremony at the Indiana Secretary of State’s office on Monday, Indiana Fifth Congressional District candidate Raju Chinthala officially filed for office. He was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Prasanna Chinthala, as well as other family members, friends, and colleagues.

“I’m proud to run for Congress, so that I can take the opportunity to serve all of the citizens of Indiana’s Fifth District,” Chinthala said. “My successful business background and my extensive healthcare experience provide me with the skills for the job. My drive to achieve meaningful results in everything I do will help me make a difference in an often slow-to-act legislature. I’m proud to be an American. I will be proud to represent you.”

Chinthala is a successful speech-language pathologist and Hoosier businessman. He is the Treasurer of the Hamilton County Republican Party and has served as Senior Advisor for India at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and as Founder and President of the Indiana India Business Council. He has been honored by President Biden with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022 and has received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from both Governor Pence and Governor Holcomb.

Chinthala lives in Carmel with his wife Dr. Prasanna Chinthala, their son Anoop, and their dog Snowball.
