Hi, my name is Casey Akers.
And my name is Jack Wolfred.
We are both incoming seniors at Noblesville High School and we are representing the Noblesville Swim Club.
Every year the senior group goes on a training trip to another state to get incoming freshman involved in the team and ready for another high school season. This year for the senior trip we went to Coronado Island in Southern California.
Today was the first full training day of the trip and every year we have a set of words that we focus on each day. We had the word RESOLVE today, we learned that resolve means having the commitment and perseverance to achieve your goals. One of our coaches, Aleks Fansler, told us how important teamwork is in the training of Navy Seals, who train on Coronado Island.
Today at our practices we did a set that we have been building up throughout the season and we did some teamwork exercises that tested our mental toughness.
Today was very productive and we had a very good atmosphere for the start of the week. We look forward to more work in the pool and getting to know our teammates more and more throughout the week.
