Laura Wertz, a 2022 senior at Noblesville High School, has earned a $500 scholarship from Indiana Estate & Elder Law that will aid in her tuition and book fees this fall while attending Ball State University to study music education and vocal performance.

In her Impossible To Fail Scholarship application, Wertz shared that she would not change any obstacles or difficulties in her life because without them she would never have found her passion.

“I have a deep need to share my joy of music with others on a more cerebral level,” Wertz wrote. “Music is essential to our souls, and those who can translate all the things around us into audible emotions are gifts to each one of us.”

Wertz was made aware of the scholarship through her high school’s scholarship list.

Following her receipt of the scholarship, Wertz had a message for hopeful 2022 scholarship applicants in Hamilton County: “Consider what your passion is, devise a path to make your passion a reality, and then make a plan to finance your path.”

Applications for the 2022 Indiana Estate & Elder Law scholarship can be found at IndianaEstateElderLaw.com/scholarship. The deadline is March 31, 2023.
