Hawks fall to Alexandria

Sheridan’s five-game win streak came to an end on Saturday, Feb. 7 as the Blackhawks fell at Alexandria 75-65.

The Tigers jumped out to a 23-11 lead after the first quarter, then went up 37-21 at halftime. Alexandria continued to roll in the third period, adding 18 points for a 55-34 lead. Sheridan poured in 31 points in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers held on by scoring 20 points.

Three Blackhawks finished the game with double-digit scoring. Trey Page made four 3-pointers on his way to 18 points. Jax Peerman scored 16 points and Devon Hamilton added 14 points.

Chance Spencer collected nine rebounds, dished out five assists and made five steals. Desh Donathan handed out four assists.

Sheridan is 13-3 and returns home to Larry Hobbs Hall to play Carroll Friday in the Blackhawks’ final Hoosier Heartland Conference game of the season.
