The Noblesville boys basketball team figured out who to count on during its Saturday, Feb. 7 home game against Center Grove. Senior Justin Curry is out for the rest of the season, so it’s the next man up now for the Millers.

Max Flanagan got the hot hand and didn’t stop. The senior knocked down 7 out of 9 from three-point range on his way to 23 points to help guide the Millers to a dominating 60-26 rout of the Trojans.

Everything went right for Noblesville as they started off with a 12-5 lead through one and pushed the advantage even more with a 15-6 second to lead 27-11 at halftime.

The Millers more than doubled up the Trojans in the second half (33-15) to completely overwhelm the visitors.

Flanagan was one short of tying the single-game program record of eight. Jake Mills (2015) is the most recent to make eight three-pointers in a game.

Baron Walker scored 17, had four boards and four assists. Luke Fogg had 10, making all four field goals and Adam Fine had six assists.

Noblesville (9-9, 2-3 HCC) visits Brownsburg (11-7, 4-1 HCC) on Friday night.
