Synopsis
The hottest game show on TV takes a wild turn when contestants start dropping – literally – after answering questions correctly. Host Reginald Smarmy tries to keep the show moving, but with electrocutions, stabbings, and suspicious “Mother, May I?” phone calls, chaos erupts onstage.
As the police threaten to shut the show down and studio executives fight to keep ratings soaring, a parade of quirky characters enters the fray: a rival game‑show host, a blackmailing caller, a boisterous mayor with her star‑struck council, and Sofie Mondello, who seems to confess to everything. With contestants falling as fast as the wisecracks, only armchair detective and stage manager Denny Perkins may be able to solve the mystery.
It’s a riotous lampoon of quiz shows, politics, and human nature – and the only question left is: Are you dying to be a millionaire?
