Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Dustin Dixon handily won the Republican primary election to be the next sheriff with nearly 63 percent of the vote. He thanked voters, law enforcement, and community leaders for their strong support.

“I’m honored by the trust the people of Hamilton County have placed in me to serve as your next Sheriff,” Dixon said. “This victory belongs to our community and to the men and women who work every day to keep it safe.”

Dixon highlighted the historic support from law enforcement, earning the endorsement of all four Fraternal Order of Police lodges in Hamilton County for the first time ever.

“The support of the men and women who wear the badge means everything,” Dixon said. “They understand the responsibility of this job, and I’m ready to lead and stand alongside them.”

Dixon also thanked key supporters, including Doug Carter, Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam, Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen, and Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness, along with numerous community leaders and organizations.

“Tonight is a moment of gratitude, tomorrow we continue the work of protecting Hamilton County,” Dixon concluded.
