Joanna Sue Champley

April 7, 1964 – September 7, 2022

Joanna Sue Champley, 58, Arcadia, passed away on September 7, 2022, at Harbour Manor in Noblesville. She was born on April 7, 1964, in Hammond, Ind., to William and Helena (Lucas) Heinzman.

She attended Noblesville schools and graduated from Noblesville High School with the Class of 1983. She had also worked as a cook for several years in the North Elementary Cafeteria in Noblesville, following in her mother’s footsteps.

Joanna grew up attending a Church of the Nazarene and later became a member of White Rock Fellowship Church at Noblesville. She enjoyed spending time with her church friends and being a faithful servant. She loved reading her Bible and attending Bible studies that greatly enriched her faith. Joanna was in Girl Scouts for 12 years, starting as a Daisy and graduating at the highest level as an Ambassador.

She loved spending time with her beloved husband and family and caring for her pets. She enjoyed camping in state parks, being in the great outdoors, and spending time around a campfire in the company of friends and family.

She married Aaron Len Champley and they were blessed with a son, Mike Champley of Arcadia, and a daughter, Ashley Hall of Michigantown, Ind. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Kamden, Steven James, Blaine and Allison; and her father, William Heinzman.

Joanna was preceded in death by her mother, Helena Heinzman; and her brother, Steven Heinzman.
