The public portion of the 2026 Hamilton County 4-H Fair runs from Thursday, July 16 through Monday, July 20. Many 4-H’ers have already been to the fairgrounds and some of the judging has already begun because it’s just too much activity to pack into five days. The Reporter will be there to record as many moments as we can in preparation for our giant 4-H Special Edition.
One of our fine fair photographers took this very shot of the courthouse. She told us today that her first job, at the age of 13, was delivering the Ledger to a downtown route around the courthouse square. Some things can only happen in small-town America, no matter how hard we try to turn it into cities.
