One of Hamilton County’s most familiar medical names has put its mark on Noblesville’s Arena at Innovation Mile, located at 14157 CJ Way.
Riverview Health, in partnership with the City of Noblesville and Parkview Health, is now the naming sponsor of the Arena, which will officially be known as Riverview Health Arena at Innovation Mile. The new name was announced at a Thursday afternoon press conference at the Arena.
Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen, Pacers Sports & Entertainment President & CEO Mel Raines and Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Dillinger, all gave remarks at the press conference. Two Riverview executives also spoke that afternoon: Riverview interim CEO John Bowen and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Eric Marcotte.
“We’re really excited about the partnership,” said Bowen. “We’re going to be focused on growing Riverview Health throughout Hamilton County. This is another way we can see growth. In addition, we’re focused on healthy living and trying to get folks out and support one other, and this is just a great way of doing that.”
The Arena became the home of the Noblesville Boom this year, and the naming coincided with the Boom’s final game of the season, a 134-112 win over the Cleveland Charge (see related story).
“I think it’s an excellent fit,” said Marcotte. He said Riverview is heavy in primary care and “very interested in preventative care and celebrating these athletes who are obviously extremely fit, and celebrating getting together, enjoying each other’s company, goes very well with the wellness that we naturally talk about in the exam rooms.”
“This is a transitional, transformational day for our community, not only to have this beautiful facility, but have a corporate partner like Riverview and Parkview come alongside to see the value in that,” said Jensen. “Six months after we open, to have a naming rights partner just opens up the possibilities for us going forward.”
Riverview Health and Parkview Health of Fort Wayne recently entered into a management agreement to enhance operational efficiency and expand growth opportunities for the independent hospital system.
“We are honored to support a facility that places community health and activity at its core,” said Bowen. “Innovation Mile represents a bold step for Noblesville, and the arena will be a cornerstone for advancing wellness and creating meaningful experiences for families across the region.”
