Noblesville Fire Department welcomes eight new probationary firefighters

Over the weekend, the Noblesville Fire Department welcomed eight new Probationary Firefighters during a ceremony held at Noblesville High School.

Seth Buis, Elijah Domogala, Tyler Davis, Gavin Jobe, Kaden Parker, Gabe Ruiz, Isaac Maxwell, and Brendan Hermesch were officially promoted from recruits to probationary members of the department.

The ceremony was emceed by Hamilton County Professional Firefighters Local 4416 President and NFD Captain Jim Butts.

The graduates completed an intensive six-month fire academy led by Division Chief Joe Schuemann, Captain Seth Jones, Captain Tanner Howard, Lieutenant Eric Giegerich, Lieutenant Eric Harris, and Firefighter Cort Christy.

EMS training was conducted by Captain Anson Herrington, Captain Chris McClure, EMS Duty Officer Josh Gates, EDO Kevin Livingston, EDO Nate Smith, Lt. Paramedic Colin Fogarty, and Firefighter Zack Flowers.

Noblesville Deputy Mayor Matt Light administered the Oath of Office for the eight new firefighters.

Fire Chief Matt Mitchell presided over the Pinning Ceremony, where each firefighter had their badge pinned by a friend or loved one.

“Today, we welcome eight new members into the Noblesville Fire Department family,” Fire Chief Matt Mitchell said. “Each of you has earned the right to wear this badge through hard work, commitment, and a willingness to serve others before yourselves. We’re proud to have you join our ranks and look forward to watching you grow.”
