Dear Editor:

As I have discussed previously, there is a great divide in our country presently. One side seems to really be struggling to know what to do. Their politicians stand against getting anything done until they are salved by the passing of spending bills which they think will make their base proud and happy enough to vote for their party in 2026.

That’s politics for you.

Their base proudly floods the streets with a misguided effort to show us that they don’t want President Trump to be their King – which is certainly not something he is trying to be. And even if 7 million people hit the streets – that is hardly a strong movement against the president when compared to his millions of supporters. And I question any actual gains that the demonstrations brought to their cause.

On top of that is the unrest aimed at stopping the lawful deportation of illegal immigrants who came in by the millions during the previous administration, the worst of whom brought with them a wave of drugs, gangs, and crime.

Conversely, the other side waits in a fairly quiet manner – no marching, no demonstrations, their politicians taking advantage of the governmental lull – trimming funds and work forces as per the DOGE findings of earlier this year.

So why are we at this juncture? To my mind, the Libs just plainly will not ever be happy until Trump has completed his term. (Some of them wouldn’t mind if that happened through his death.) The politicians of liberal ilk are trying to show their base that they are up for the fight, that they will not allow the President any advantage, even if it means doing nothing and gaining nothing. The base’s actions seem suspicious at times in the manner of organization and deployment – seemingly there is an outside force which is monetarily stepping up to cover the expenses necessary to make these insane shows of resistance happen.

Also in play is the ever present liberal news media – highlighting only what is advantageous to their side. It has been noted that even with all this “beneficial” media coverage – there is little if any positive result in the Dems’ dismal poll numbers.

It all gets very tiresome. The show of displeasure by the masses is so clumsy, so ridiculous at times.

I ask you: how can you rail against something such as a kingship when there is none? How can you oppose the quashing of violent street demonstrations that endanger federal officers or of immigrant criminals who endanger American citizens?

None of this seems to matter to the liberal side, and to me it makes no sense at all.

  1. The king aspect??? Isn’t literal??? Its just the term to represent how people are displeased with how much power the president has been using against the citizens??? Why are you mocking people who are using their rights? Especially with all the videos we’ve seen of federal agents macing/gassing/pepper spraying peaceful protesters that are just protecting their neighbors. Where are you even getting any of this information, we know both sides are to blame for the shutdown so why are you trying to divide people further.

  2. I have not heard President Trump say he wanted to be King. I know Hillary Clinton wanted to be Queen but Obama got in the way and stopped the flow to the throne.

  3. After some research I found that Hillary Clinton has an award at the Queen’s University in Belfast, UK. Which is the possible reason for the confusion. Donald Trump had posted “LONG LIVE THE KING” on his Truth Social and X during Feb of this year, referring to actions that his administration was doing.

  4. Repeating the talking points that agree with one’s world view doesn’t make them true.
