The Boom, formerly the Indiana Mad Ants, showed off the court at a gathering in Deer Creek Business Park, not far from the Boom’s soon-to-be finished new home, The Arena at Innovation Mile. The gathering was attended by a large crowd of invited guests.

Eddie White, host of Pacers Overtime, opened the event with formal remarks, while Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen and Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines also spoke. Jensen and PS&E President of Business Operations Todd Taylor spoke with the media afterwards.

“I think it really adds an element of actuality,” said Jensen. The mayor noted that the City of Noblesville has been talking to the Pacers “about this project for nearly three years. So, to be able to have the court here, to see what it really looks like, to have the community, our business leaders on the court and seeing it, to have great Noblesville restaurants provided for a fun atmosphere, makes it very real.”

Taylor was happy with the local support, saying the community “couldn’t be better.” He also complimented Hamilton County as a “great sports county.”

“To be able to partner with the City of Noblesville, which is fast-growing with a lot of sports fans, really made perfect sense for us from a brand standpoint, but from a basketball development standpoint, couldn’t be more happy,” said Taylor.
