Norma Lee Firestone

February 24, 1958 – February 19, 2025

Norma Lee Firestone, 66, passed away February 19, 2025. Norma was born on February 24, 1958, in Tipton and was a beacon of resilience and charisma.

Known for her love of life, and her spirited heart, her journey was a testament to the strength of the human spirit. She was a loving wife, sister, and grandmother; a charismatic friend, and a spirited adventurer. Her zest for life was infectious, and she brought a unique spark to the world that will be deeply missed.

Norma was a truck driver by profession, a role that perfectly suited her adventurous nature. She was resilient, facing the challenges of the road with a smile, and her charismatic charm made her a beloved figure in the logistics industry. However, her true passion lay at home, where she cherished her time with her beloved husband, Steve Firestone, whom she married on December 27, 2008. She was also a devoted sister to Sandy (Howard) Lashure and Terry (Kathy) Simmons. Her love for her family was evident in her devotion to her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. In her free time, Norma was an avid collector of carnival glassware, an enthusiastic cook, and loved horseback and motorcycle riding.

Despite her love for adventure in her profession, Norma was equally content to enjoy the simple pleasures of home. When she wasn’t on the road, Norma enjoyed being at home in Cloverdale, Ind. Her home was a sanctuary, a place filled with love and laughter.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby (Bob) and Johanna Simmons; her children, Patrick, Sarah, and Chad Null; and her siblings, Dennis Simmons, Rita Freeman, and Barbra Smith Whitzel. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

A private service will be held under the care of Hartley Funeral Homes. In celebration of Norma Firestone’s remarkable life, we encourage you to leave memories and upload photos of her to the memorial page.

Let us remember and honor Norma for the loving, resilient, charismatic, and spirited woman she was, and let her legacy live on in our hearts.
