Senior State Day 1: Vohs and Edson win long-distance events

The Indiana Swimming Senior State Championships took place last week at the IU Natatorium.

Day 1 of the event featured long-distance swims, with two Hamilton County swimmers picking up victories. Haddie Vohs, competing for Fishers Area Swimming Tigers, won the Women 800 Freestyle race in a time of 9 minutes, 9.47 seconds.

Carmel Swim Club’s Michael Edson was the Men 1500 Freestyle winner, finishing that event in 16:25.71. It was a 1-2 Carmel sweep, with Alex Harrell the runner-up in that event.

Here are Hamilton County top 16 finishers from each Day 1 event. More results will run throughout the week.
