House Speaker Todd Huston (R-Fishers) and State Rep. Chuck Goodrich (R-Noblesville) recently welcomed Noblesville students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2024 legislative session.
“Spending a day in the Statehouse introduces students to government and builds on the lessons they have learned in the classroom,” Huston said. “It’s an exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes and learn more about how the legislative process works.”
As pages, the students assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined lawmakers on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.
“Paging is an easy way for young Hoosiers to get involved in state government,” Goodrich said. “Experiencing the legislative session from the House Chamber is a unique experience, and I encourage students in our area to sign up for this exciting and educational program next year.”
Noblesville students serving as pages during the 2024 legislative session were Jamyla Finch, who attends Indiana Connections Academy, and Gavin Glaister, who attends Hamilton Southeastern High School.
Students aged 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2025 legislative session. Contact Huston at h37@iga.in.gov or Goodrich at h29@iga.in.gov for more information on the Indiana House Page Program.
