Four Hamilton County divers are headed to state after finishing in the top eight of the Homestead diving regional on Tuesday.

That includes the defending state champion and runner-up, both from Hamilton Heights. The Huskies’ Ethan Swart, the winner at state last year, won the regional title by a thin margin over Oak Hill’s Grant Cates. Swart scored 527.50 for first place, while Cates totaled 525.90 points as runner-up.

Fishers’ Jacob Schade was fourth by scoring 491.35 points and Noblesville’s Aiden Kless took fifth with a total of 465.95 points; they will join the Huskies duo at state this weekend.

The state diving meet begins at 9 a.m. Saturday morning with the preliminary round, followed by the semifinals. Finals for both swimming and diving start at 1 p.m.
