Prevention tools for mental health & substance abuse disorders top agenda
The Hamilton County Health Department is inviting those who work with youth to a special workshop designed to provide valuable prevention tools – namely for mental health issues and substance abuse disorders.
The workshop is specifically tailored for educators, faith-based leaders, non-profit agencies, after-school program leaders, and therapists.
“The workshop is designed to equip those on the front lines with effective strategies to make a lasting impact,” said Jim Ginder, Health Education Specialist with the Hamilton County Health Department. “It’s a unique opportunity for professionals to come together, share insights, and gain practical tools to address the challenges faced by today’s youth.”
The workshop is free and scheduled to take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Ivy Tech Community College in Noblesville. A box lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 100 people, so participants are encouraged to register early at tinyurl.com/prevention-workshop.
“We’re committed to empowering professionals with the tools they need to create a positive impact on the well-being of our youth,” Ginder added. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn and collaborate for the betterment of our community.”
