Did you know that the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (known as the HCAA) was established in 1950 and is the only juried-in artist association in Hamilton County?

We currently have around 40 fantabulous artist members, each with their own styles. We have oil painters, watercolorists, pastels, and photographers. We range from realism, impressionism, abstracts, and surrealism. Our mission is to provide opportunities for artist development, fellowship, and art appreciation to our members and to the community.

In 2006, we were granted the use of the historic First Baptist Church building built in the late 1880s located at 195 S. 5th St., Noblesville. After much remodeling, refurbishment, and updating we own this building. Here is where we conduct our business, maintain a gallery, provide lessons, among other things. Our building is a real jewel here in Noblesville.

We also reach out into the county with satellite exhibits. Our latest was our Annual Exhibit at the Carmel Library in late September. We also work and coordinate with the Fishers Arts Council and Noblesville Creates, previously known as the Nickel Plate Arts.

After Thanksgiving, we are participating with Noblesville’s Small Business Saturday, which will be Nov. 25. We will be downtown on the Square in the South Alley along Conner Street with a pop-up exhibit in the Community Room from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On hand will be fine art, prints, holiday cards, and other unique items. Come meet your local artists and make the most out of your day.
