Westfield voter endorses Kirstin Root because she will “put Hoosiers first”

Dear Editor:

Hoosiers deserve a senator who puts people before profits, and Kirstin Root is ready to do exactly that.

At a time when working families are struggling to keep up with rising costs, we should be asking why millions of dollars in tax breaks are being handed to foreign companies while Hoosiers are left to pick up the bill. Governor Braun’s decision to provide millions in incentives to a foreign technology company raises an important question: Whose interests is our government serving?

Kirstin Root believes our tax dollars should work for Hoosiers, not subsidize foreign corporations at the expense of our communities. She will fight for a state budget that puts working families first, including fully funding our public schools, supporting public health care, and ensuring our emergency services have the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

Kirstin understands that government has a responsibility to serve people, not corporate profits. She will work to advance legislation that reflects that principle, protects our public resources, and gives Hoosier families a fair shot at a better future.

What I appreciate most about Kirstin is that she is a fighter who cares about Hoosiers of every generation. From children who deserve excellent schools to seniors who depend on accessible health care, she recognizes that our communities are strongest when we invest in one another.

Senate District 21 deserves a senator who will stand up, speak out, and fight for the people she represents. Kirstin Root will do just that.

I urge my fellow Hoosiers to support Kirstin Root for State Senate District 21. It’s time to put Hoosiers first.
