The world of D&D

Editor’s note: The Sheridan Student Column is brought to readers by Sheridan High School’s Accelerated English 9 class, taught by Ellie Arrowood.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be whoever you want to be, do whatever you want without any real-world consequences? That is D&D in a nutshell.

Every game of D&D is different because there are different Dungeon Masters, different worlds, different characters, and different rolls. At SHS, there is a D&D Club.

D&D is a tabletop role-playing game. I am a player in one of the campaigns. I also want to be a Dungeon Master next quarter. A dungeon master is the god of the campaign. They create the world and story for the players to play in. I got involved in D&D at home because of my dad. We played a campaign, and it was my first experience with D&D.

D&D makes Sheridan better. It adds creativity and something to do after school. Everyone there is nice and friendly. And there are multiple campaigns if you don’t like the one you currently have.
