Effective on or after Monday, Aug. 7, Towne Road between 146th Street and 151st Street will be closed for road reconstruction. The road is scheduled to be closed to all thru traffic for 60 calendar days, tentatively opening back up to traffic on or before Monday, Oct. 6.
During the closure, local traffic should utilize the signed detour route of 141st Street to Shelborne Road to 151st Street. Property owners will continue to have access to their properties through the construction area. This closure is part of the improvements to 146th Street which will widen the roadway to four lanes of traffic from Ditch Road to Towne Road.
