Come experience the enchanting performance of Indiana Ballet Conservatory’s Fairy Doll, a classical ballet piece that tells the story of a mechanical doll that comes to life.
The performances are set for 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 at The Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.
It is inspired by these famous ballets: Offenbach’s score for The Tales of Hoffman, Delibe’s score for Coppelia and La Boutique Fantastique. Music is by Josef Bayer, Piotr Tchaikovsky, Anton Rubenstein, Riccardo Drigo, Anatoly Lyadov and other Libretto by Paul-Henri Fourcher and Joseph Mazilier. It will be staged by Alyona Yakovleva and faculty of Indiana Ballet Conservatory, after choreography by brothers Sergey and Nikolay Legat.
