Noblesville United, a parent and family interest group, held a meeting Monday night at Life Church, 2200 Sheridan Road.
The group’s members are supporting Melba Kiser and Misti Ray for Noblesville school board. The group’s concerns center on school performance, academic excellence, and individual freedom.
One speaker noted that test scores within Noblesville Schools had dropped by more than 40 percent in the last six years. It was suggested that schools focus on reading, writing and arithmetic rather than on “woke ideology.”
The opening prayer was offered by Life Church Campus Pastor Micah Beckwith, and students Tori Hanley and Annabelle Fiore gave the Pledge of Allegiance and performed the National Anthem, respectively.
Elijah Condellone spoke on the importance of the upcoming school board elections, and Erin Tuttle gave a review of parental rights. Current Noblesville School Board Member Laura Alerding spoke on how to successfully prepare for a school board campaign.
Condellone then introduced the candidates – Kiser and Ray – and moderated questions from the audience.
